Lot 189 Tofinho / Tofo and Sulemane Cabir

Have you had any updates to your process?
Not sure if you saw this post placed on 16/05/2008 - it appears it may have been posted by Sulemane Cabir.
"Monica and Barry are totally wrong and being driven to a vultures´ path by a network of corrupt Municipality officials and others! Sulemane Cabir is categorically the owner of plot 189. Undeniable proof is at the Inhambane City Registrar´s Office where the Municiapility corrupts tried illegally to anul is Title Deeds to cover up their wrongdoings. Monica and Barry bought an infrastructure (an unfinished house) from Sulemane Cabir. They didn´t buy land! They do have the legal documents from the relevant Government Departments prooving that, namely the "SISA" and the "Escritura Pública"! Monica and Barry don´t even need a DUAT!Legally and by force of Article 16 of Mozambique Land Law, when you by an infrastructure, the land called " Logradouro" or "Domínio Útil" is automatically the buyer´s domain.The Municipality is not competent and has no authority to deny Monica and Barry´s legal rights.It´s a shame and a pitty, inspite of many warnings, but they choose to believe in corrupt and criminal officials from the Municipality! And Sulemane Cabir spent more dealing with Monica and Barry paper work than what they claim and there are proof of that. Inhambane Town Hall is run by a network of corrupt officials allied to a group of specific South African elements involved in illegal land transactions.Monica and Barry should tell who is the Municipality oficcial that gave them a piece of paper written in portuguese and they signed it without knowing what the contents where!There is much more to the self inflicted saga! Stand 189 Tofo Beach and Sulemane Cabir
We have just returned from Tofo Beach - what a beautiful spot - it is stunning - we know what we fell in love with.
It does not look like we will get our DUAT for the 2000m2 of stand 189 Tofo Beach that we purchased from Sulemane Cabir in 2006!!!
We are waiting to get proof from the Inhambane Municipality that Sulemane Cabir does not own stand 189.

Lot 189 Tofinho / Tofo and Sulemane Cabir
We have had no further news regarding our DUAT for the 2000m2 on stand 189 Tofinho.
We have been told that apparently Sulemane Cabir has sold four other people land with a similar agreement and they have not yet started on the process. We are not sure whether Sulemane Cabir offered to assist them but if he did they may end up having the same experience as we have had with Sulemane Cabir.

We are really please that you have your registered company in Mozambique. The only thing outstanding is your receipt and it is important that you obtain this from Dr Malunga.
This process has taken far longer than the norm. Although the process is very long winded in Mozambique the process could have had all been completed in a matter of a few months should you have employed a competent person to take care of your paper work. Many people have trusted a local person – like Sulemane Cabir and this often does not work. It is evident from the problems you experienced and the response you have had from the various contacts of Sulemane Cabir that Sulemane did not honor his word.

Lot 189 Tofo / Tofinho, and Sulemane Cabir - Inhambane, Mozambique
We have finally received our published Articles of Association for our company Marlyn Azul LDA which was published in the Boletim da República (Official Gazette) in February 2008.
We paid Sulemane Cabir on 09 April 2007 for this and only after following up with Dr Manuel Malunga ourselves have we had any joy.
Sulemane Cabir has given us a signed declaration that he paid the money and handed over the documents in April 2008. We are trying to establish from Dr Malunga whether this was in fact given to him in April 2007 and to get our receipt for this.
